Local Love

I love living in Florida. It's a strange and wonderful place. During my year abroad in England, many a face lit up with nostalgia and fond childhood memories when I revealed I was from Florida. Wide-eyed questions about gators were my favorite.

This weekend I attended the Great American Pie Festival in Celebration. There were bakers from all over the country, but there was something about it that felt very Floridian. Frankly, it was madness! The cluster of people and queues were reminiscent of Disney, but there was an eerie small town block party feel. I enjoyed myself immensely and gorged on pie.
